The second Friday of every month is Popcorn Friday. The Post members will go out to Ft Meade Hospital and pop and serve popcorn to all Veterans and Staff. It is a great time, so schedule your appointments for the morning of the 2^nd Friday of the month.  Want to be a sponsor of the Popcorn Friday? Cost is $100 and your name or company is printed on the labels that go on every bag we give out.   We also give a verbal to the recipient as to who sponsored the month. 

This year on May 3, 2025 we will be joining thousands of VFW members across America during the 4^rd Annual VFW Day of Service.  We will be doing two projects this year. One will be cleaning along side Old Hwy 14 and the other will be collecting food and giving away free bingo. You will receive $2 of bingo play for each item up to $10 each Friday during May.

Youth and Education

TheVoice of Democracy and Patriot Pen Scholarships are in full swing and hoping to get many applicants this year. We also have the Teacher of the Year nominations due at the end of October. So, if you know of a teacher you would like to nominate, please contact the post and we will help you get them nominated.  Also, if you know of a middle school or high school student that would like to win some cash and prizes, then let’s get them started for VOD/PP.
